Mulfra Hill to Zennor and St. Ives
Before reaching the final granite boulder tops of Zennor Hill one passes the largest Neolithic cromlech in Penwith. A steep north-westerly slope covered in rock plunges down to the village of Zennor. A small, ruggedly-built granite church, a farm and pub dominate this tiny windswept place of great Cornish character.
Coming down off the high moor towards St. Ives we enter mining country again. Towednack church is at the centre of this parish. Walking through Bussow, then Stennack to the outlying area of St. Ives, the atmosphere of this walk is rapidly changing. Walking along The Tinner's Way one understands why so many artists have been drawn to the area and deeply inspired by it.
